Sudoku grids are divided to four (4×4) or six (6×6) or nine (9×9) little blocs (examples down here). 

If we have a four blocs puzzle, each have to contain numbers 1 to 4. If we have a six blocs puzzle, each have to contain numbers 1 to 6. If we have a nine blocs puzzle, each have to contain numbers 1 to 9, without repeating the numbers vertically or horizontally.
